I purchased these "leggings" because I thought they were brown and because they were on sale. I have heard about NYDJ jeans and have wanted to try them to see if they are as good as they are rumored to be. If they lifted my back and flattened my front and were comfortable while doing so, they would be worth every penny of full price and more. The material is thick, but soft. I could reasonably expect these jeans to be comfortable with wear. The color, Caper, is not brown and looks nothing like it appears on my computer monitor. It is a very dark, greenish brown color that changes depending upon the lighting. In one light they looked like a very dark olive green, but in another light they looked dark greenish-brown. The color is unusual, but I really like it. I would not call them leggings. I would call them skinny jeans and they zip and button like jeans. All of my leggings hug my ankles. These are narrow around my ankles, but do not hug them. The length was fine for flats. (I am 5'7") I purchased a size 10. My "regular" size is 10, but I have gained 20 lbs. (from recent surgery) and thought I had probably gone up to a size 12. In that case, a 10 would have been the "one size smaller" the seller instructs us to buy. The 10 fit me about the same as my Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda in size 10. They did not hold in my tummy nor lift my backside. The "point" on the fly (where they button) stuck out and was obvious through my shirt. (I would have to wear a flat belt to prevent this.) I thought a size 8 might be better (since I was supposed to buy one size smaller) so I sent back the 10 and was going to order the 8. However, the size 8 costs twice as much as the 10! I guess I will wait for the 8 to be on sale. :(I love these jeans. They're super stretchy and make my booty look amazing! I have a belly from middle age and childbirth, but these fit great.However.The pockets are crap. My phone constantly falls out of the front pocket. My WALLET falls out of the back pocket. Maybe it's the tightness of the jeans. Who knows? I have to carry a purse if when I wear these.I'm 5"2" tall, about 140 lbs., almost flat butt, usually wear size 8P jeans if I've been behaving in the food dept, and wear size 10 jeans if I anticipate a big carb load during Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. I ordered the size 10 in both denium and cords, which are both super soft, hold their shape and the colors are nice (easy to match) Both cords and jeans are about 1" to long, too big around the waistline before meals and a little snug after meals, the "skinny fit" through hips and legs are not very skinny, for me their a little too baggy. The Soda Energy Slouchy Round Toe boots found on Amazon look good with these jeans to hide extra length (after adding wool insoles found on Amazon). I think the size 8 would be a better fit if I reduce the amount of carbs, it's hard to find pants that fit these days but overall these fit well.These jeans feel like I just stepped into pants custom made for me. They are so comfortable I could have slept in them! I can feel them move with me when I bend, no pinching and nothing gaping out from behind, I have just found my new favorite jeans!These maybe NYDJ’s but my daughter is hoping she gets a pair soon! While browsing through the different styles and colors I found 3 pairs on sale. Since I wasn’t sure what size I would take I ordered all 3 in different styles and colors. This was the first pair to come in, the pair I was most doubtful would fit, I was wrong! Going down a full size in this style fits just the way any woman would love! I’m 5’4” and about 160#. I have other pairs of NYDJ that I like a lot, but these Alina Legging Fit Skinny Jeans are simply perfect. The dark color is perfect, the curvy fit is perfect and very flattering, the weight of the denim is perfect. There is nothing about them I don't like. I was a bit worried about the "legging fit," thinking it might be too tight and too revealing, but it's really not. These jeans fit like any other skinny jeans, only better.NYDJ are not cheap, but mine have held up very well. My first pair is a couple of years old now and still looks great. I expect the same from these and was willing to pay the price for them for that reason. Much better to have fewer pairs of jeans that actually fit and look good and will hold up than more throw away pairs. For my body, which is small-waisted and heavy-bottomed, with a few extra pounds, it doesn't get any better than these.I ordered these because I was in desperate need of new jeans. This was Amazon's deal of the day, and with returns being so easy, I decided to order. I won't lie, I fully expected to return these. Ordering jeans online is never a good idea if you've never tried the brand before. I received these yesterday, and I didn't expect what I got. These jeans feel as smooth as butter. They also slide on like butter in a hot skillet. I am 5'4, and they are a little bit long, but nothing to fuss about. I'd much rather them be a little long than a little bit short. The waist is a tad high, but that is what helps cover your imperfections. They make your behind look GREAT. I am seriously in love with these jeans and cannot wait to order more.Great rich color! I got 'caper' which is a deep dark olive green. I thought it would be more brown, but either way, very nice fall color. Like it says, order a size down for "idea" fit. But I guess I didn't notice that when I ordered! I'm between an 8 and a 10 and got a 10. So it's definitely not a "skinny" jean on me. But I'm still keeping them since I prefer a looser fit. The calf/ankle is not tight at all, in fact quite roomy so definitely order a size down if you're looking for that look.Very comfortable to wear and a good colourThey’re so soft and comfortable.
